A Dream Comes True

I never expected that I have being a lawyer since 9 years ago. Where becoming a lawyer was not my ambition when I was child. I did not find in my big family who had same experiences before as mine. The majority profession in my big family are as an entrepreneur. For instance, started from my father's job, he was an owner on handy craft home industry in his village. My mother while as a house wife, she is an a domestic seller. Then my brother, he is an independent electrician, and my sister, she is an owner in small bakery home industry. 

when my father still alive, he tried to guide my brother to be the next generation who can handle his business. In his view, to be an entrepreneur, did not necessary to get a high academic level. so when my brother graduated from junior high school in 1980s, my father had asked him and given him 2 options between continuing his academic or working for him, while he given my brother Rp 100.000,-. Finally, what he decide, he wanted get a job but he did not want to work in my father's business field. He had prefer to look for job and work in garment factory in other village.

To be honest, my brother is one of the smarter student in his class. He often become a star in his class. There was one thing which I can learn from him, he is very organize student. In the home, he is the only one who have a personal bookcase and he always locked it. his hand writing is very neat and good.

I still remember, when my father looked so disappointed and felt mad to my brother because of his decision. However, he never showed his angry in front of my brother, because his love to my brother is stronger than his sadness. After a couple of years later, my brother's bookcase, his new rest books, and his notes, are become my property, because I was entered in the same school as well as his.

I never saw my father showing his proud to me although I tried to do best to have a similar achievement as well as my brother before. Only my mother who always pay attention to my achievement in school. My life is really full of struggle, where my father had discriminated me. He never support me to achieve a good education. He was too worry and scary that if I reach the highest education in family, it will take many disadvantages especially financial.

However, I am in Europe now as one of International student in beautiful country with rich heritage and culture, Italy. I take back the 2nd Law master degrees in International legal knowledge. I realize that is not easy to reach this opportunity, moreover this program 100 per cent using foreign language, but I believe in my heart that I can pass it !
